We are located in Altamura, a territory of farmlands, bread and of olive oil. Our olive groves are in the “Parco dell’ Alta Murgia”, in the shadow of a cathedral as ancient as our roots.
Citalo is a project 100% made in Puglia, born from the idea to tell the story of the best extra virgin olive oil from a land full of character: Puglia.

MEDIUM fruity
Peranzana cultivar olives are prevalent in this variety of oil, together with “cima di Mel” cultivar. It is a fragrant oil with predominant herbaceous scent and a light aroma of fresh almond, artichoke and tomato. This kind of oil has a well-balanced taste that goes with DELICATE DISHES, as sh or steam dishes. It is excellent both for its fragrance and balanced spiciness, and for its nutrient content. Peranzana oil has, indeed, a high content of chlorophyll and carotene and a time of rancidity longer than other oils.
INTENSE fruity
It is a strong oil with a robust avour. The main variety of olives used is Coratina variety, typical of our land. Spicy and slightly bitter, this variety of oil, if rationed in the right way, can be a natural medicine: it contains three times antioxidant polyphenols than any other kind of oil. It is a perfect match with our typical BREAD from Altamura but also with LEGUMES, raw vegetables and salads.
